Petr Rokusek is a visionary entrepreneur and investor in modern energy. In these pursuits, Petr has focused on demonstrating options for a smart combination of nature and technology. In 2008, Petr founded Nano Energies, an energy trading company with three divisions, offering businesses and households the opportunity to consume electricity efficiently and responsibly. With a team of experts, he is currently developing technologies for electricity-sharing and flexibility aggregation, including blockchain.
While still a student at the Czech Technical University, Petr founded his first venture with a Dutch business partner in 1995, establishing what is now a leading visual display group Jansen Display, which was acquired by the US’s Sign-Zone in 2018. Petr applies an environmentally sustainable approach at several other companies in which he is active. He currently resides in Liechtenstein and spends his workweeks partly in Switzerland and in the Czech Republic researching energy innovations, blockchain technologies and smart textiles under brand NowYou.
Petr has also founded Bluelight.LI fund investing into business ideas with positive impact on our environment and wants to meet or associate with other investors or funds with similar mindset and goals.
Michal Rychnovský leads the data analytics, trading, forecasting, and business intelligence teams from the position of Chief Analytics Officer in Nano Energies. He has worked for years for the PPF Group in the Czech Republic and China as a Chief Risk Officer for Home Credit and led the retail risk in Air Bank for 2,5 years. He graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University, Stochastics and Financial Mathematics at the VU in Amsterdam, and completed his academic career with an engineering degree and later a PhD in statistics at the University of Economics in Prague.
Since 2018 Stanislav Chvála has directed Nano Energies in its mission of achieving its long-term vision of shared sustainable energy. After 8 years in the UK, where he gained experience in the energy sector and in banking for companies such as Morgan Stanley, Lloyds Banking Group and Siemens, Stanislav joined CEZ Group where his tenure began at CEZ Trading where he was originating trading business across Europe. Then he set up a commodities business within CEZ ESCO. Stanislav ran one of the first local commercial pilots on flexibility for demand response and is considered as a thought leader on this topic in the Czech Republic. He has a degree from the University of Hull international finance and economics and an MBA from the University of Manchester.
Jan Novák has been with Nano Energies since 2019, leading international expansion into the CEE region, virtual power plant product development, and B2B marketing. He has been in the energy industry since 2014. At the Ministry of the Environment, he worked on the preparation of European funding for energy-saving and air protection projects. He also worked at innogy Czech Republic and innogy SE in Berlin, where he led international projects to enhance B2B customer experience. He studied finance and economics at Prague and Lisbon.
In the summer of 2014, he co-founded the development company S9Y. He is also behind the startup Instacover, which focuses on using artificial intelligence in the insurance industry. In addition, he gained experience at Socialbakers, primarily focusing on product and software development from his position as VP of Engineering. He has been with Nano Green as COO since spring 2022. He wants to move the company into an environment built on a completely different type of service for customers that decentralizes, decarbonizes, and, most importantly, makes electricity cheaper.
Co-founder of the development studio S9Y, who is a significant contributor to the success of the startup InstaCover at home and abroad. As part of S9Y, he has implemented AI projects for Generali Česká Pojistovna and classic development contracts for Rohlík.cz or startups such as Spendee or Stavario. He gained his first experience in product management at Socialbakers, where in five years, he became the head of a team of product managers who took care of almost 2,500 clients worldwide. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and has been with Nano Green since the spring of 2022 as Product Director. He and his team are working on matching user consumption to the planet’s breath. In other words, to consume electricity smartly following when the sun is shining, and the wind is blowing.
Tomáš has managed our flexibility sales team since 2017. Tomáš’s expertise lies in combined heat-power plants. He has worked for Nano Energies since 2014, first as an analyst, and later as Chief Operating Officer and Country Manager for Czechia, and since 2022 for Slovakia too. He also worked at TechSoft Engineering, where he was involved in virtual prototyping for the optimization of steam & water turbines. Tomáš holds a PhD from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Czech Technical University.
From 2022, Cecilia leads Digital Energy Services Romania, the new subsidiary of Nano Energies in Romania. Cecilia has an extensive successful experience of more than 25 years in the B2B area, out of which more than 17 years in coordinating large B2B sales teams at the national level in competitive industries like corporate banking, financial services, and energy. She worked for large international financial groups like Societe Generale, Citibank, Alpha Bank, and Eurobank. In 2018, Cecilia joined E.ON Group as Head of Sales at E.ON Energie Romania, where she coordinated the B2B commodities sales and originated energy solutions sales. Cecilia was a member of the Board of Directors of Eurobank Leasing and a member in the Management Board of E.ON Energie Romania. She is a graduate of the University of Economic Studies in Bucharest, with a Banking and Stock Exchange license, and is certified as a Stock Exchange broker, ANEVAR evaluator, and trainer.
Tibor Lukács has led the Hungarian subsidiary of Nano Energies since 2022. He is an experienced manager with a 15 years long proven record of building efficient teams and managing operations to exceed profit goals in the energy industry. Tibor formerly worked for Veolia as a Head of Industrial Energy Services and at E.ON Hungary as Head of the on-site-generation business unit, managing wide scale of business development, construction, maintenance and operation of both conventional and renewable energy solutions. He is a graduate of the University of Debrecen, where he studied Business and International Economics and also retrieved degrees both in Mechanical and Construction engineering.
Dominik Maričević joined the company in 2022 as Country Manager for the Croatian subsidiary of Nano Energies. Dominik gained extensive knowledge and experience in managing trading and portfolios and active participation in the liberalization of the Croatian electricity market from RWE Hrvatska and E.ON Hrvatska. As a Trading and Portfolio Manager, he was responsible for planning the consumption of the entire customer portfolio and timely hedging of sufficient amounts of electricity. Dominik graduated from the University of Zagreb with a Master of Science in Electrical engineering and information technology and Electrical Power Engineering.
Prokop Čech is a head analyst at Nano Energies focusing on renewable energy forecasting and quantitative analysis of modern energy solutions. He strives to find feasible ways to transform the current energy system towards a more sustainable future, one step at a time. He previously worked for a major utility company, investing in renewable energy sources and related services all around Europe. His previous experience also includes mathematical modelling of public choice processes. He holds a master’s degree in law and economics from Utrecht University, and he is further pursuing a PhD degree in economics.
